Duties
Bowhead is looking for a Systems Administrator to provide systems administration support to Windows 2003/2008 servers used for the operational needs a specific division within a Technical Department. This environment includes support for Windows Active Directory and database applications running in a Linux environment. Operation and Maintenance support includes patch management, information assurance/security, anti-virus, and data backup solutions for the Mission Assurance Division network. Develop, deploy and maintain automated Windows 2003/2008 Server and Windows XP/7 client builds. Attend to VMware VCenter server and Vsphere client configuration, and hosted virtual server requirements. Create Standard Operating Procedure documentation for designs and implementation strategies of new hardware and software deployments. Utilized DISA Gold disk, Retina scans to identify and mitigate security risks. Address requirements for maintaining system security as defined by the Certification and Accreditation documentation. Work independently as well as in a support environment to meet deadlines while simultaneously performing multiple tasks. This support environment includes working with a corporately staffed Help Desk to resolve customer problems.
