Job Summary
The Database Team has an available opportunity for a T-SQL programmer. This individual will be a part of our small, but growing technology team in Krakow. The majority of Chatham’s technology group is located in our headquarters in the U.S. Chatham utilizes the Agile software development methodology. The Krakow and U.S. teams work collaboratively throughout sprints, with Krakow leveraging the time difference to add value and enhance the quality of our software.
The focus of this role will be to optimize existing T-SQL stored procedures/functions for performance improvements and to document and communicate those improvements to peers.
Required Attributes/Skill Set
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and optimizing T-SQL stored procedures and functions in SQL Server 2005/2008
- Experience with various tools for performance analysis and optimization including SQL Profiler, reading execution plans, and Dynamic Management Views
- Effectively communicate database programming concepts/best practices to peers
- Strong theoretical and practical understanding of relational database design
- Excellent English language communication skills; all of our business is conducted exclusively in English
- Demonstrate excellent analytical skills
- Capacity for detail-oriented work
- Be proactive and work in a semi-directed environment
Training Requirements
A 3-month training period in our U.S. office with the Database Team is required for this position, and the successful candidate must be willing to travel for this period.
