PARK RANGER PROTECTIONDUTIES: MAJOR DUTIES: The incumbent serves as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer commissioned with responsibility for performing duties including detection and investigation of violation of the Federal criminal laws, and the apprehension and detention of violators. Patrols the historic site grounds enforcing rules and regulations and protecting park resources. Makes frequent contact with the park visitors and presents accurate information about the site.
