Job Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the design and implementation of ongoing, comprehensive talent and management development strategies that increase employee and organizational capabilities. Instructional design work to include course content, PowerPoint presentations, handouts, job aids, participant manuals, leader’s guides, and other course support materials.
- Assist, and often take the lead role, in the identification and assessment of vendor capabilities for those solutions deemed more appropriately designed and or delivered by external consultants. May also design and facilitate focus group sessions.
- Observe training sessions delivered by others to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Work on the creation of survey tools such as 360-degree instruments to obtain assessment data.
- Track and analyze delivered training solutions through designated metrics, including costs and evaluation of effectiveness. Prepare reports as requested or deemed necessary.
- Assist, and often take the lead role, in the development and execution of appropriate change management and organizational development strategies and activities tied to the implementation of key programs.
- Lead or be part of customized development solutions and special projects and initiatives as assigned.
Work in conjunction with the HR Business Partners to support the talent management processes. This includes work on talent assessment/skill gap analysis, needs assessment (possibly through the use of survey tools), organizational design, group dynamics and behavior, team building design and facilitation, and related solutions.
Requirements:
- 7-10+ years of progressive experience in training and employee development, thorough knowledge of learning techniques and best practices, including needs assessment, adult learning theory, instructional design, presentation and facilitation, and training program evaluation.
- 3–5+ years of experience in organizational development, with thorough knowledge of change management, process consultation, organizational needs assessment, group dynamics, individual and group assessment, process improvement, and team building design and facilitation.
- High level internal consulting skills and experience.
- Experience working with assessment tools, methodologies and measurement (metrics).
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Advanced degree and/or Talent Development and OD-related certificates and designations preferred.
- Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- 25% travel required.
