Tasker On Duty
The Tasker on Duty (TOD) role is a customer representative, reporting to Store Leadership, whose primary focus is to coordinate and oversee inventory cycle count and task force activities, which is critical to delivering a life-enriching experience for our customers, each and every time they visit our stores
The TOD will also support the daily operations of the store prior to store openings, Monday through Friday.
As part of our exciting in-store team, your focus will be:
Operations:
- Coordinate and oversee cycle count and task force activities (merchandising, shelving, processing returns, cycle counting compliance); Communicate daily cycle counting goals to Customer Experience Representatives (CERs) at the start of the shift and share results at the end of the shift with CERs and leadership team
- Maintain general organization and cleanliness of the store
- Solve issues, working through them and escalating to leadership when required
- Perform additional tasks to improve the customer experience as required
People:
- Partner with Store Leadership team to oversee shelving and overstock placement; delegating associated tasks to Task Force CERs
- Work with Store Leadership to train new employees and upgrade tasking skills of existing team
- Contribute to team spirit among fellow employees
Sales:
- Share knowledge to positively impact sales
- Represent Indigo as a brand ambassador while interacting with the local community both in and out of the store
- Challenge yourself to find new and innovative ways to add joy to the customer experience
- Be creative, willing to take risks and learn from your experiences
- Practice flexibility, being positive and accepting of new initiatives and provide constructive feedback appropriately
Job Requirements :
You are the ideal candidate if you have:
- The ability to work 5 hour shifts prior to store opening (5am start, Monday to Friday); shifts are subject to change in accordance with Company policy and guidelines
- A solid understanding of customer service
- The ability to take initiative and solve problems
- Strong multitasking and organization skills
- Effective oral and written verbal communication skills
- The ability to work independently and contribute within a team
- Previous experience with cycle counting (asset)
- General merchandising experience (asset)
- Related product knowledge (asset)
