TASpj Sales Engineer – Automotive Job in Livonia, Michigan Us
Minimum Bachelor’s degree, Masters preferred, with 5 years’ experience. Candidate will interface directly with customer's material science and after-treatment development teams to introduce new technology and process. Knowledge of the Automotive industry is a plus and experience in instrument analysis is even better. A key goal is establishing and developing relationships in the target market into sales of equipment and services.
Job Description:
· Operation of TAS 7000 hardware and software.
· Perform terahertz analysis of Automotive / Diesel After Treatment System Substrates.
· Experience with Electrical / Optical / Analog Measurement Technology Instruments
· Knowledge of system structure and digital signal processing optical electrical experience.
· Prepare customer evaluation reports and visit customers to present reports.
· Communication with Advantest Sendai Japan Lab regarding fulfillment of Customer requests.
· Ensure solid, convincing product demonstrations and be capable of running and demonstrating the product.
· Selectively participate in Standards Committees where appropriate.
· Write and/or present technical papers and articles as appropriate.
· Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.
· Provide technical and non-technical support and services to clients or other staff members regarding the use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
· Keep informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments.
· Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products, and to provide sales support.
· Plan and modify product configurations to meet customer needs.
· Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers.
Experience:
• Capital Sales of Electrical / Optical / Analog Measurement Equipment
• Instrument / Test company experience with sales development
