TASpj System Engineer
TASpj System Engineer - Automotive: Livonia, Michigan
Minimum Bachelors degree, Masters preferred, with 10 years experience. Candidate will interface directly with customer's material science and after-treatment development teams to capture, analyze and report data obtained using Advantest's TAS7000 Terahertz Imaging system. Knowledge in instrument analysis is preferred. Automotive power-train and emission analysis is a plus.
Job Description:
· Responsible for the mechanical development and validation testing of exhaust components and sub-systems
· Ability to convert scientific, engineering, and other technical problem formulations to a format that can be processed by a computer
· Resolves symbolic formulations, prepares flow charts and block diagrams, and encodes resultant equations for processing by applying extensive knowledge of branch of science, engineering, or advanced mathematics, such as differential equations or numerical analysis, and understanding of capabilities and limitations of computer.
· Supporting emissions testing and validation work for diesel engine exhaust emissions system
· working in the test cell environment to develop and integrate the EuroV1 exhaust after treatment system with engine
· responsible for test planning and analyzing technical data and test results
· responsible for trouble shooting and resolving issues with emissions test work
· responsible for the development of test procedures
Experience:
· Operation of Electrical / Optical / Analog Measurement equipment.
· Instrument / Test company experience in problem solving and trouble-shooting at the system level.
· Product / Application Development in partnership with Customer
