My client, a global firm of Chartered Accountants is the leader of professional services including audit, tax and advisory, and part of the largest integrated accounting firm in Europe. Looking to expand their team, Partners are recruiting a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join their Manchester offices.
As a member of a client service team you are in charge of your own portfolio of clients, providing Corporate Tax compliance and advisory services. You are the principal contact with smaller clients on day to day tax matters and working with Senior Managers and Managers on larger clients. Working with specialists you can deliver expertise to the local market. Carrying out tax audits in accordance with terms of reference agreed with the audit team, you also advise them of potential tax exposure. You are also responsible for ensuring fees are raised regularly, identifying situations where overruns can be billed and assisting Managers/Senior Managers in billing for advisory work.
We would consider CTA / ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with a Corporate Tax experience, ideally, but equally qualified accountants from an audit background. You will be successful in this role if you communicate with impact, in a way that is open, honest, consistent and clear, if you take personal responsibility and accountability for own work and if you sustain a high level of drive, enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work.
