As part of the role you will be helping assist with the tax compliance services of the entire Group. Your main responsibilities will be to support the Groups Tax Manager in ensuring that the corporation tax returns are prepared and submitted to HMRC, along with all HMRC correspondence. Furthermore you will also be supporting the Tax Manager in compiling all the VAT returns, including undertaking other tax jobs on an ad hoc basis.
In order to be successful in this role you will need to have passed or be studying ACA, ACCA, ATT or CTA qualifications. You must be a self-starter with the ability to drive forward projects to final resolution with minimal supervision but just as important; be a team player. Superior communication skills both written and verbal are also essential along with the ability to build relationships with people, particularly fellow colleagues from the Group finance sector.
