Tax Accountant Job in 55101, Minnesota US

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:  To perform necessary tax compliance, reporting and planning for FCI clients.

 

OUTCOMES:

1.      Work with clients, FCI personnel, and outside professionals as necessary to prepare and file accurate and timely tax filings for clients.

2.      Conduct and provide analysis to support tax compliance and planning and other financial services provided to clients and to improve the methods of preparation and filing tax filings for clients.

3.      Communicate effectively with clients, FCI personnel, outside professionals and the taxing authorities as necessary to carry out the duties of a tax professional.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1.      Prepare necessary tax filings for clients, including individual, fiduciary, partnership, corporate, foundation and transfer tax filings.

2.      Prepare quarterly and annual tax liability projections.

3.      Complete administrative tasks necessary to prepare and file accurate and timely tax filings for clients.

4.      Research and provide analysis of tax matters as needed to facilitate tax compliance and planning, communication with the taxing authorities, and other financial services provided to clients.

5.      Correspond with clients, FCI personnel, outside professionals and the taxing authorities as needed.

6.      Assist in representing client interests in tax compliance audits.

7.      Stay current with developments in federal, state and local income tax laws, applicable pending legislation, and industry best practices.

8.      Complete other miscellaneous projects and participate in Company initiatives as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1.      Bachelor degree required, preferably in business, accounting or related.

2.      Minimum 1 year related experience.

3.      Advanced certification preferred.
