Tax Accountant

We are currently looking for a Tax Accountant in our Dallas office.
Responsibilities:
- Federal and State compliance for domestic operations (preparation of corporate and partnership income / franchise tax returns)
- Assist with Topic 740/FAS109 tax provisions for domestic operations
- Research federal and state tax issues
- Write technical tax memos to file and management
- Assist with federal and state audits
- Sales and Use tax audit support; as required
Knowledge/Experience:
- 3 - 5 years tax compliance / planning experience
- Strong tax research and technical writing skills
- Proficient in Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills and attention to detail
- Pro-active, self-motivated, comfortable with a changing environment and a team player
Desired Skills:
- Proficient with BNA, CCH and Checkpoint tax research services
- Fluent with business software including MS Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Onesource tax preparation software
- Oil gas and real estate background
- Familiar with financial reporting software, ideally SAP and Business Works
- Certified Public Accountant or candidate
