Our client is currently seeking a Tax Accounting Manager. Main Duties: * Manage the federal and state income tax compliance preparation and filing process * Contribute to the preparation and review of the quarterly and annual income tax provision, including, but not limited to, ASC 740 analysis, documentation, disclosures, discussions with external auditor, communication with internal contributors and users of information, etc. * Assist the Senior Manager of Audits with federal and state tax audits including gathering data and developing responses to information requests * Research, analyze, interpret and apply consolidated corporate tax law, including federal and state tax law developments and legislative proposals * Supervise, mentor and develop staff helping to sustain a challenging, respectful and fun work environment * Identify opportunities for potential tax planning and work with Planning and Transactions group * Evaluate internal income tax reporting processes for improvement in quality, efficiency and timeliness * Assist with developing data and analytical requests to be used in the tax reporting process * Assist with federal tax projects involving items such as tax accounting methods and merger and acquisition transaction integration * Coordinate the RD credit computation and process The following skills, knowledge and experience are required for this position unless noted otherwise: * 8+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or large corporate tax department * Experience in the area of tax compliance; including consolidated federal and state tax return preparation with intermediate U.S. international experience, and the preparation of high quality, standardized, well-referenced tax return workpapers * Experience with federal and state tax audits; including the audit and IDR process * Experience with tax accounting/ASC 740 * Proficient in Microsoft Office * Ability to work independently on complex tax and accounting issues with reasonable knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code, regulations and state tax law * Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and deal effectively with competing priorities * Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to work effectively with all types and levels of company personnel * Strong problem solving skills and ability to facilitate a decision making process Required Education: * Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field * Graduate degree in related field a plus * CPA license preferred
