JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Senior Managing Director by providing tax consulting ancillary to MA and other advisory work throughout Asia Pacific.
- Help to develop and expand the MA and advisory practice
- Assist with the provision of transactional structuring advice
- Liaise with tax authorities, as needed, including preparation of submissions and filings
- Provide strategic tax advice
- Collaborate with various business units to deliver best business outcomes
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree holder majoring in Accounting/ Law
- Minimum of 6 to 8 years of related work experience preferably from International Accounting Firm or MNC
- Experience in effective tax structuring of both inbound and out bound investment (including MA, JVs, FDI etc)
- Knowledgeable about tax reporting requirements in multiple Asian jurisdictions
- Solid working knowledge of indirect taxation in at least some of these jurisdictions would be an advantage
- Experienced in dealing with regulators in some or all of those jurisdictions
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Command (written and spoken) of at least one other major Asian language (preferably Mandarin but other languages will be considered)
- Ideally located or willing to relocate to Hong Kong
