Position Description:
The Morgan Stanley Tax Department currently has a career opportunity in New York City for an Associate/Manager in the Domestic Tax Group. The individual will be responsible for preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns, tax provision and tax analytics.
Core responsibilities will include:
• Tax compliance management, oversight and preparation for a high volume of tax adjustments and returns in a time sensitive environment
• Tax provision management and preparation
• Tax analysis, planning and analytics
• Tax audit support
• Special projects
Skills Required:
• 4 - 6 years of domestic corporate tax experience, preferably in a large corporate environment or a large accounting firm
• Strong managerial skills, with a hands on approach
• Strong communication skills
• Strong analytic, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Experience covering complex tax issues in a real-time environment
• Significant tax compliance and FAS 109 experience
• 4 year accounting degree
• MS or MBA in Tax preferred
• Financial services industry experience preferable, but not required
