Posted Position Title: Tax Counsel Career Level: Experienced Function Finance Function Segment: Tax Location: United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: Connecticut City: Norwalk Postal Code: 06851-1056 Relocation Assistance Yes Role Summary/Purpose: Responsible for acting as subject matter expert to support initiatives/projects through research and counsel in areas such as international planning, policy initiatives, transactions, audits. Essential Responsibilities - Responsible for transaction review planning, structuring, and implementation. - Provides support to deal teams and portfolio group on the tax aspects of pending transactions, structuring of deals and portfolio issues. - Reviews tax aspects of models developed by deal teams. - Monitor the ongoing business operations to insure that all technical requirements for transaction are satisfied. Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree. Minimum 5 years of tax experience in major accounting firm, law firm, or multinational company. - International tax planning, structuring, implementation experience. - Excellent communications skills to communicate complex tax issues, opportunities, and risks to non-tax experts in a clear and concise manner. Desired Characteristics - Juris Doctorate or master's degree in tax. - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification. - Ability to partner effectively with business management, legal, and finance personnel. - Tax experience with Lending transactions and restructurings. - Finance Service experience is desired.
