Tax Credit Analyst
Role Overview The Tax Credit Analyst is the liaison between the Credit and Tax departments and processes tax rebills and posts tax credits. The Tax Credit Analyst is responsible for managing all open tax requests initiated by the Credit and Collections department. This involves removing open tax balances from customer accounts that provide their exemption certification, or rebilling orders with tax upon verification that a customer is taxable. . Key Areas of Responsibility Rebill invoices to either remove or add tax to a particular invoice, order, or account. Assist Accounts Receivable specialists and Sales with questions regarding tax on specific items or shipping locations. Maintain Retail Past Due report, research and collect all non Net Term invoices. Analyze invoices for appropriate taxation according to county, parish, or state laws, etc? Assist leasing areas in analyzing which deals are taxable versus non taxable. Responsibilities Process tax rebills thru CSRs, cases, and email requests. Audit review for assignment of Rights and refunds for taxes previously paid by the customer. Maintain the weekly Retail Past Due Report. Provide tax training for new Accounts Receivable specialists, new Sales Managers and new Sales Operations Supervisors.
