Tax & Financial Advice Director, HK recruitment
The Company
The Group is a highly respected international wealth management boutique with offices in London, HK and Malta. It offers investment management, Trustee services, private office and tax/general financial advice to very wealthy individuals.
The Role
- Based In Hong Kong, you will work closely with the Executive Chairman, assuming responsibility for existing clients of the Group.
- You will advise existing and future clients on tax, asset structuring and retirement planning issues.
- You will draft written reports and share/explain their contents in face-to-face client meetings.
- You will work closely with the Group Trust companies on existing client structures.
- You will market advisory services to target clients and third parties.
- You will have the support of and be expected to work closely with the tax and general advisory team in London.
- You will contribute technical articles on topical issues to the Group's monthly client newsletter.
- You will be required to address client seminars.
The Individual
- You are looking for a long term, client centric role with the opportunity to become an equity partner.
- You have a professional qualification in UK accounting and/or taxation and have 7-10 years post-qualification experience dealing with and advising private clients.
- You are willing to work in Hong Kong (personal tax 15%).
- You have an interest in extending your tax and general financial knowledge into non UK jurisdictions, while acquiring complementary insight into investment and trusteeship.
- You are proactive about maintaining your professional knowledge as legislation evolves.
- You have excellent communication skills and are confident sharing your advice verbally and in the written word. You are able to explain complex matters to clients.
- You have a creative and flexible approach to the advice you provide.
- You are an entrepreneurial person who enjoys working in a boutique environment.
Interviews will take place in London and/or Hong Kong, depending on the applicants situation.
