Position Description:
Morgan Stanley's Asia Pacific Tax Department is searching for a Hong Kong-based Executive Director / Vice President to cover employee tax issues in Asia.

Responsibilities will include:

- Advise on executive compensation programs, and compensation plan and transaction structuring
- Provide advice with respect to structuring, life cycle events and administration of carried interest plans and leveraged co-investment plans
- Advise on all employment related securities issues
- Provide support to employment lawyers on employee tax matters
- Work with HR on tax matters relating to international mobility programs
- Senior management presentations on findings and recommendations
- Manage external tax advisors

Skills Required:
- A qualified lawyer, tax adviser or accountant specializing in employee remuneration
- At least 8 to 10 years of significant transactional and technical experience in a law firm, accounting firm or in industry
- Proven project management skills
- Ability to deal confidently with senior professionals, both within Morgan Stanley and externally
- Excellent analytical, research, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, time sensitive multi-engagement environment with varying deliverables and changing requirements
- A dedication to teamwork

Skills Desired:
- Employee compensation program design and implementation
- International tax matters relating to employee mobility
- Carried interest plans, profits interests and co-investment plans
- Partnership taxation a plus
- Some knowledge of US and Asian (including Japan) tax issues relating to the above a plus
