Ensures that the tax group adheres to policies and procedures and identifies and resolves difficult issues.
•Acts as the primary contact person for the client.
•Manage operations of the entire tax group.
•Acts as a liaison between State Street Bank and the client and works with external audit firms and regulatory agencies.
•Act as a technical resource for the Tax Department.
•Responsible for monitoring changes in the Investment Company Act of 1940. Disseminate information to the tax group.
•Responsible for tax disclosures contained in the audited financial statements.
•Responsible for training and development of staff.
•Responsible for assisting in development of department policies and procedures.
•Manages the activities of individual contributors and supervisors.
Skills
•B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
•CPA, MST, or MBA is preferred.
•Seven or more years of mutual fund or partnership taxation experience.
•Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, Outlook)
•Ability to negotiate, manage, and lead others.
•Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
•Demonstrated ability to train and develop staff.
