WELL ESTABLISHED SOUTH-HAMPSHIRE PRACTICE SEEKS A CTA QUALIFIED TAX MANAGER, IDEALLY WITH EXPOSURE TO PERSONAL TAX AND CORPORATE TAX, TO JOIN THEIR MANAGEMENT TEAM
Our client is a highly respected firm of chartered accountants in the Hampshire area. They are currently looking to strengthen their management team with the appointment of a key individual.
The role will incorporate providing technical assistance to partners, tax staff members and business services staff members in the areas of Income tax, National insurance, Capital gains tax, Inheritance tax, Corporation tax, SDLT and VAT. You will be managing the Firm’s Tax Return filing requirements to ensure that all relevant deadlines are met and improving existing procedures to ensure efficient processing of Tax Returns.
Key to the role will be contributing actively as a leading and driving member of the firm’s working groups plus the review and supervision of tax work for tax staff including the firm’s tax consultants and overseeing practical tax training of staff including CPD needs. You will also be responsible for developing commercial opportunities with clients yielding increased fees and recovery and contributing to the development and growth of the client base through good service and marketing initiatives. You will also be involved in running one off projects in conjunction with partners.
The successful candidate is likely to be CTA qualified, or suitably experienced, with a broad mix of tax experience gained within professional practice. They will need to have high standards and expectations and have the ability to tackle more complex issues as well as run-of-the-mill compliance.
