Tax Manager / Head of Department recruitment

Our client is a forward thinking, specialist firm located in the West London area that has enjoyed healthy growth in recent years, and has realistic plans for penetrating new markets and expansion in the very near future.

They recently passed a review by the HMRC with flying colours and a demonstration of their innovative ethos is a unique system developed approved by the Revenue for clients who traditionally don’t keep detailed records.

They are close to transport links and there is free parking only five minutes from the office.

Due to the success of the business a new role has been created for an experienced Tax Manager.
As head of the department, working alongside and reporting to the Managing Director, this crucial role will have full responsibility for overseeing and submission of all tax returns to HMRC and all consequent enquiries.

You will review CIS tax returns completed by the junior accounts team, confirm expenses for rebates, calculate capital allowances, manage clients; resolving their queries both on the telephone and by appointment at the firms' office

This is a rare opportunity for a tax expert to enter into a successful practice at senior management level and become an integral part of the company’s team in its next phase of development.

To apply you will hold an appropriate qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CTA and have in-depth knowledge of tax returns specifically for the self-employed, ideally including CIS and experience of P11d’s also extremely advantageous.

You will have demonstrable management experience and due to the nature of the business will need drive, flexibility, enthusiasm and focus. You will possess strong communication skills, and superb interpersonal skills in order to lead their dedicated team in both management of clients and HRMC
