Reporting to the head of tax, you will be responsible for managing and directing a team of 3 charged with ensuring the tax compliance requirements of the business are delivered. Key responsibilities will include;
- The timely and accurate preparation of the annual income tax return and annual AIIR from a business unit/entity perspective.
- The timely calculation of Quarterly PAYG Instalment Income.
- Assist Group Taxation with the accurate compilation of the Fringe Benefits Tax Return, by undertaking fringe benefits tax expense analysis.
- The completion of Business Activity statements correctly and accurately, every month, on a timely basis, from a business unit/entity perspective.
- The population of the tax provisions in the general ledger, accurately, on a monthly basis.
- Assist Group Taxation with transfer pricing, controlled foreign company and withholding tax issues associated with cross border transactions.
- Provide guidance and support when required to the three direct reports in your team.
- Provide assistance to the head of tax and additional ad-hoc duties as required on an ongoing basis.
- Identify and manage the implementation of a range of process improvements.
- Identify impact on tax compliance processes of tax legislative changes
Successful candidates will CA/CPA qualified with 5+ year's relevant tax experience (at least two years local tax). You will have previous staff management experience and a background in either financial services or banking. Excellent communication skills are essential in order to be successful in the role.
