Tax Manager (Wholesale Bank) recruitment

You will provide tax support to the Wholesale Bank Financial Markets (FM) businesses.  Your primary responsibility is to manage business tax risk and monitor tax policy implementation.

Tax risk management includes facilitating interaction on tax risk issues between Group/Country Tax and Business, undertaking risk mitigation projects identified and resolving tax risk issues identified.  There may also be some general FM business transactions and Principal Finance tax support.

Key Roles Responsibilities

* Business Support (Financial Markets)
- Efficiently support business transactions through providing tax inputs and quantifying tax impact.
- Ensure that tax approval processes for new products in South East Asia are robust
- Provide solutions to support business objectives and infrastructure initiatives in the most tax efficient manner.

* Tax Risk Management
- Tax risk management agenda through relevant Product Working Groups and Regional Product Forums.
- Assist in tax risk mitigation planning
- Establish control and procedures to mitigate business tax risk identified
- Prepare and regularly update risk maps

* Transfer Pricing
- To assist in regular review and implementation of existing transfer pricing guidelines for material areas within FM 

* Projects
- Ensure tax efficiency achieved on project assigned

* Key stakeholders
- Interact and work with the businesses, operations, finance and other internal stakeholders to deliver on the assigned responsibilities

Qualifications  Skills

* Tertiary qualification
* Good communicator with ready appreciation of business issues
* Team player with ability to function independently
* Self-motivated and decisive
* Enthusiastic, intelligent and continually learning
* Good analytical and interpretative skills
* Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Outlook, etc)
