Tax Specialist
Location: Poznan
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Tax Specialist will primarily be involved in the internal tax affairs of the company. This includes being responsible for all the tax aspects of various assigned corporate work and discrete projects, whilst also providing support to other members of the Corporate Tax team.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Direct involvement with tax compliance (direct, indirect and local taxes) and reporting requirements of specific EMEA companies.
- Compiling information in response to tax queries raised internally, by auditors or by the tax authorities.
- Undertaking tax driven projects and providing support to the Senior Tax Manager or Tax Manager, as appropriate.
- Develop an understanding of the tax requirements for Franklin Templeton companies in the various allocated jurisdictions.
- Tax reporting to the US and involvement in company-wide projects where required.
- Maintain awareness of recent tax developments in EMEA region and detailed knowledge of allocated country tax systems.
YOUR PROFILE:
- 2-3 years of professional experience in a Tax area.
- Recognised Tax and/or Accountancy qualification with requisite accounting experience – industry or profession.
- Good quality corporate tax experience (international tax experience desirable) – industry or profession.
- Very good English
- Communicative German language – nice to have.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
- Good business awareness.
- Demonstrates initiative.
