Bala Cynwyd School for Young Children is a Private Academic School and Day Care Program, Accredited by NAEYC and serving families with Children under 7 years old.
Our Campus consists of a Kindergarten building, a Preschool building, an Infant/Toddler facility, 3 playgrounds, a swimming pool, computer lab, etc. Each of our 14 classrooms has two Teachers who work cooperatively. To learn more about our program go to: balacynwydschool.net
Our most important resource is our dynamic and well-respected Teaching Staff, many of whom have been with us for 10-20 years. We are currently interviewing for several positions to begin in mid to late May or early June: 1.) A full Time Preschool Teacher to work with older three-year-olds. 2.) A full time Toddler Teacher to work with one and two-year-olds. 3.) Summer only camp staff for all age groups. 4.) A full time Substitute Teacher who has the qualifications to assume a classroom teaching position when it becomes available. 5.) Summer only or year round part-time staff to work 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

Our ideal candidate for a Full time position will be degreed in ECE or Child Development, and have at least 1 year of successful and dependable experience in an Early Childhood setting where she/he was responsible for a group of children. As a NAEYC Accredited School, knowledge of those standards as well as the PA Stars standards is very helpful.
We seek teachers who are demonstrably warm and affectionate with children, enthusiastic, creative, energetic, motivated to excellence, intelligent, personable, child and people oriented, flexible, dependable, responsible, and able to work as a member of a team. He or she should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to effectively and positively interact with parents, co-workers and administration. She/he should know and understand ECE curriculum and high quality program standards and be able to implement such through a long program day.
Our salaries are amongst the highest in this area's Early Childhood Schools. Benefits for new full time staff include Health insurance, 401k program with match, 14 paid holidays, 2 weeks vacation, 6 paid personal days, and a tuition reimbursement program. We also participate with some local universities in tuition discounts and tuition reimbursements for graduate study. Most staff work from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM. Most positions are 12 months unless otherwise noted.
