The qualified candidate will have experience working in a collaborative team environment and will be responsible for maintaining a complex 24/7 production Team Foundation Server environment, as well as driving the architecture for the next generation production TFS environment. This Team Foundation Server SME will quickly grasp the business needs, technical vision, communicate them, and develop them into actionable plans.
This is an estimated 6-12 month Contingent/Temporary position in Redmond, WA, offered through Volt Technical Resources, also located in Redmond, WA. Requirements:
Team Foundation Server Administrator (Mid-Level Experience) Qualifications:
- 5 years expert experience deploying, managing and supporting a Team Foundation Server in a 24x7 Production Environment and High Availability Sever Topologies as a Team Foundation Server SME.
- 10+ years solid experience and proven track record with deploying Scalable Server Hardware Configurations, Environment Performance Tuning and troubleshooting complex environment issues.
- 3+ years deploying and maintaining Server Monitoring tools and strategies specifically targeting TFS components.
- 3+ years experience with TFS Security model and TFS Security group roles and implementing TFS Security strategies and policies.
- Working knowledge of developing and modifying Work Item Template (WITS) and TFS Global Lists.
- Solid experience with WMI scripting and/or WMI .NET Namespace.
- Experience developing Tools and TFS add-ons using TFS .NET Namespaces (TFS API's) and TFS integration tooling.
Bonus Skills (These are NOT the required skills. These skills are considered "nice to have skills" that will enhance the job, but are not needed to perform the Job Responsibilities):
- Experience with TFS Power Tools and Server Command Line utilities.
- Experience with customer-facing Visual Studio and TFS support.
- Software Development experience with Visual Studio.
- Experience developing Tools in .NET TFS Namespaces with C# a huge plus.
