Team Lead-Aero Job in Cincinnati, Ohio US

Job function:

Develop and lead a team of engineers in execution of gas turbine engineering aero / heat transfer analysis projects and related disciplines


Requirements:

B.Sc in aero/mechanical engineering and 5+ years of gas turbine aero or heat transfer analysis experience, or M.Sc. in aero/mechanical engineering and 3+ years of gas turbine aero or heat transfer analysis experience, or M.Sc. In depth knowledge of CFD or FEM analysis tools, as related to gas turbine engineering. Very good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, and leadership qualities.


Job Description:

Lead engineering analysis projects using aero-thermal analysis tools, including development of CFD/FEM models, analysis execution, postprocessing, detailed internal technical review, and presentation of methods and results to the customer. Coordination, support and review activities will be provided from the group in Cincinnati.

Interface with local customers and the QuEST account management team to identify opportunities, develop work plans and proposals, and present results and capabilities.

Utilize all AFS ISO9001 processes for execution of projects, including documentation for internal / external surveillance audits.

Develop and grow an aero fluid systems engineering analysis team supporting customers out of the EH office. Manage the workflow to the team, to keep all members applied to billable tasks.

Hire, train and supervise entry-level or limited-experience engineers to grow the team.

Administer projects using the QuEST project management system (QMS), including filing progress / status reports with the group lead in Cincinnati.

Continue personal technical growth to learn new methods and skills, and develop standard work / training packages for the team.
