Team Leader, Chief Operating Office

As Team Leader you’ll support the Relationship Directors, Assistant Directors and their customers through the provision of high level operational support. Taking ownership and responsibility for all interactions with clients and business stakeholders, ensuring everything we do drives a better customer proposition.

To be successful in this role you’ll be able to:

• To undertake analysis of client needs.
• Build relationships with CIB Relationship Directors (RD) and CIB customer teams and all support areas within the business.
• Build understanding of compliance and regulatory regime in which the business has to operate.
• Have a complete understanding of the controls and processes within the Group Policy Framework.
• Manage operational risk issues including account opening, mandates, Know Your Customer (KYC) and other client documentation.
• Deal with incoming funding / payment related referrals from operations units.
• Follow a defined process to ensure that RD / credit sanction is obtained as appropriate to mitigate intra day settlement risk.
Understand the requirement for settlement credit lines.
• Proactively identify where additional credit facilities will support the payments proposition and liaise with the Credit RM to ensure that these facilities are recommended and marked as appropriate.
• Understand the group service operating model and ensure that this is properly utilised to support the service proposition.
• Understand and manage KYC for new and additional corporate clients and take responsibility for keeping both the customer and RD teams informed.
