Team Leader Credit (m/f) recruitment
Your tasks:
The successful candidate will be leading a team of 5-6 credit specialists in our client’s credit department. Having a direct reporting line to the Head of Credit, he/she will closely interact with various internal departments, in particular finance, operations groups, business units and sales teams. Besides this, the tasks will be
- Collaborating with colleagues in foreign branches as well as control groups within the global (risk management) organization especially in the context of key projects and initiatives.
- Responsibility for performing day-to-day management, monitoring and reporting of credit exposures.
- Rating of counterparties as well as setting, reviewing and controlling of client limits in alignment with enterprise-wide requirements.
- In this context, the successful candidate is required to ensure adherence of the activities with the relevant internal policies and procedures whilst fulfilling relevant regulatory requirements and guidelines.
- Being a key member of the credit department, the individual is expected to support the Head of Credit and the Head of GmbH Risk Management in strategic planning and organizational tasks related to the credit department, to successfully lead and implement projects besides contributing to continuously improve existing processes and workflows within his / her area of responsibility and beyond.
Your qualification:
- At least 4-5 years work experience, ideally in the Risk Management area of a multi-national financial organization
- Initial leadership experience would be an advantage
- German bank apprenticeship and/or academic background in economics/finance/ banking
- Relevant knowledge of the German regulatory and legal environment for financial institutions [MIS-Reporting (MIS, MaRisk, Alco, etc.)]
- Experiences with credit-risk-systems, processes and new product evaluations concerning the risk exposures in relation to the changing regulatory guidelines / frameworks
- Fluency in German and English
- Capability to work under pressure in a challenging international working environment
- Ability to successfully handle and prioritize multiple tasks in an accurate manner with attention to detail
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to take ownership (‘hands-on mentality’), to positively influence and build consensus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, team player
- Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
- Proficient use of MS Office Applications (Excel)
