Team Leader, Fund Accounting recruitment

Northern Trust’s presence in Luxembourg consist of Northern Trust Global Services Luxembourg Branch a credit institution originating from the UK which provides custody and depository functions and Northern Trust Luxembourg Management Company S.A which provides fund administration services.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Validation of the fund before dissemination
• To monitor monthly reporting for onward transmission to the Trustees and resolve any queries posed within specific timeframes in a prompt and professional manner.
• Ability to use initiative in order to maintain the team’s reconciliation items at a minimum level.
• The overall client’s satisfaction
• Supervision of duties executed by the Fund Accountant
• Co-ordination of activities that affect other teams in the company such as dividend declarations, liaison with the Transfer Agency department is essential
• The maintenance of a professional but good working relationship with the client and with other Northern Trust partners
• The client’s implementation and conversion
• The participation in project implementation
• Training of new comers
• Maintenance and update of accounting procedure
• To take the lead and implement new processes to help the tem be successful in their goals and KPIs.
• Involvement and monitoring of the appraisal objective setting process
Your profile:
- Previous experience of managing small teams
- Ability to work under pressure to achieve the multiple daily deadlines for client deliverables, with a mature approach.
- Knowledge in Sungard Invest One Enterprise is an advantage but not essential
- Fluent in English. Any additional language is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills for liaising with the Fund Accounting team and other Internal Departments, Depositaries, Custodians, Auditors and the Fund Management Companies to which we provide a service.
