Team Leader – Group Life Claims recruitment

Our client, a recognised leader in the Australian Group Insurance sector, is looking to recruit a Life Claims Team Leader to join their Head Office operations in Melbourne.

The role is a perfect opportunity for an existing Team Leader, who is looking for a fresh start with one of the sector's biggest names and the scope to be able to work for a truly international company with the size and scale to offer long-term development in a buzzing division which continues to go from strength to strength on the back of continued market success.

Alternatively, strong consideration will be given to a present 2ic / Senior Life Claims Assessor, with strong product knowledge and excellent claims management skills developed over a number of years to take the next step in their impressive career with the chance to develop their management skills, while continuing to use their strong technical focus.

Reporting to the National Claims Manager, the role is looking for the successful candidate to be responsible for a very small portfolio of complex claims, while being directly involved with the development of a team of other assessors and administration support. The ability to drive and engage the team is essential, while having a strong client engagement / expectation delivery focus is seen as ideal for this important management role.

Ideally, you will benefit from:

?¢ Proven ability to coach and mentor less experienced staff and drive team performance, while looking to engage and partner with key clients to forge a positive on-going relationship
?¢ IP/GSC, TPD, Trauma and Death Claims experience over a minimum of 5 years
?¢ ANZIIF qualifications / Related tertiary qualifications.
