Team Leader
Eaton Corporation, located in Eastanollee, Georgia has an opening for a Team Leader. The applicant selected to fill the position will be responsible for the set-up, production, and inspection of all jobs assigned. This role is primarily responsible for ensuring a safe work environment, achieving production schedule and product quality, and coordinating with other functional areas to meet and exceed customer requirements. Critical to the success of this position is the ability to: - Report unsafe conditions and assists with corrective actions - Work as an operator with primary responsibility for setting up and operating CNC ??s and/or various mechanical presses - Review and analyze MRP reports to monitor WIP levels and meet stated OTD goals - Expedite Customer orders as necessary - Promote team building and employee engagement - Participate, support, and/or lead lean activities including 6S, visual boards, kaizen events and value stream maps - Assist in the identification of root cause and corrective actions for policy/procedure issues - Perform process audits to verify processes are followed and assist in corrective actions - Identify and initiate flexing team members to support business needs across the departments - Assist with employee coaching/counseling - Act as a communications link between management and team members, ensuring relevant information flows both directions Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of (MRP/ERP) systems / Intermediate Computer Skills Position Criteria: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to read and understand blueprints, quality and/or engineering standards - Experience using basic measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.) - Ability to receive and maintain operator self inspection stamp to meet quality expectations of Eaton and customers. Basic Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment - Minimum 1 year of prior leadership experience - Ability to work flexible hours including 1st and/or 2nd shift
