An opportunity has arisen for an experienced human resources generalist to join the Organisational Development team as the Team Leader.

Reporting to the Manager People and Procurement Services, this integral role will play a major part in developing integrated sustainable business practices that position Council as an employer of choice. Together with providing high level strategic and operational advice to Council’s Executive you will engage cross organisationally to support service delivery teams in all aspects of organisational development with an emphasis on employee and industrial relations.  Leading a small, professional team, you will play a key role in the strategic progression of the organisational development unit and take the lead in many of Council’s major projects.

Tertiary qualified in Human Resources, the successful candidate has extensive experience as a Human Resources Generalist, ideally in a large, multi-disciplined environment.  A confident and competent manager and engager of people, your style is to lead, support, coach and mentor. You have a solid understanding of relevant human resource legislation and contemporary practises and are a skilled negotiator with sound conflict resolution skills.
