The Financial Sector Analysis group (FSA) provides rigorous, proactive and timely analysis to the Banks senior management, supervisors and analysts to support the Bank's policy objectives around the effective microprudential supervision of large financial institutions (LFIs) and the broader macroprudential goal of maintaining financial stability.
FSA focuses on assessing the strength and resiliency of the LFIs and markets at the core of the U.S. financial system to identify emerging risks to individual firms and their broader impact on financial markets and the financial system as a whole.

FSA is looking to fill a second team leader position to complete the management team.
The team assesses and reports on the condition and performance of LFIs; analyzes and compares trends across leading U.S. and foreign institutions; and monitors key financial markets including corporate and consumer credit markets, securities markets, and others.
Staff also consult and collaborate closely with employees across the Financial Institution Supervision Group (FISG), from other areas of the Bank, and throughout the Federal Reserve System.
Responsibilities:Specific responsibilities will reflect the managers expertise and will include the following:Developing new approaches to better understand and model the key drivers of revenue through statistical analysis, analyst-style models, and business line analysis for the LFIs.
This work is a major priority for FSA and the FISG in 2010;Overseeing the development of monitoring reports for selected financial and market data to identify emerging risks; Coaching staff to develop innovative and informative analysis of financial data and complex topics and to ensure continued career development of more junior staff;Defining and delegating responsibilities, managing team workflow, and assessing staff performance;Interacting with clients and other areas to ensure constructive collaboration;Assisting with the departments administration.

Qualifications
Strong knowledge of the banking system and/or financial markets;Superior leadership and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to facilitate work and discussions with all levels of staff and management across the Group and the System;Excellent skills in the analysis of financial-related information, both qualitative and quantitative, and in communicating views verbally and in writing; Strong financial modeling and database oversight ability;Strong organizational skills to manage multiple staff members and projects simultaneously; Flexibility to lead others in an environment of rapidly changing priorities;Knowledge of the Financial Institution Supervision Groups objectives, structure, and processes;MBA or Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Public Policy, or a related field, or equivalent work experience financial system.This position requires access to confidential supervisory information, which is limited to Protected Individuals as defined in the U.S. federal immigration law.
Protected individuals include, but are not limited to, U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, U.S. permanent residents who are not yet eligible to apply for naturalization, and U.S. permanent residents who have applied for naturalization within six months of being eligible to do so.
