Teamhead Corporate Actions
In this important role you will manage a small team of specialists and will be responsible for delivering an excellent Corporate Actions service supporting both the Zurich and London Business Units. You and your team will be processing, monitoring and controlling mandatory and voluntary Corporate Actions including all relevant tax requirements. The guidance of your team in complex transactions, investigations and escalation of issues with custodians and other counterparties are as important as the professional handling of withholding tax matters in different jurisdictions, specifically Switzerland, UK and USA. In addition you will be driving efficiency and service improvements by optimising corporate actions processes and workflows on the core banking system (Avaloq).
The successful candidate has a solid education, significant relevant experience and a track-record in successfully leading a team. You ideally possess detailed knowledge and experience in both Swiss and UK markets. Core requirements include a thorough understanding of all types of Corporate Actions and associated tax-processing. Fluency in English and computer / system literacy are essential, German is highly desirable. Leading by example, applying your sound analytical and communication skills, you will be able to convince professionals at all levels in various departments and counterparties. A very high level of integrity, ethics, quality and flexibility as well as the ability to keep deadlines and to work under pressure are also required.
