Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for an TEC-Process Technician IV on a --CONTRACT TYPE-- opportunity with a leading company in Wilmington

In this position candidates will …
A. Supervise maintenance and outside contract trades during all aspects of equipment installation and conversion of Process Equipment.
B. Assist engineers in the troubleshooting, process start-up, design, and documentation of Mechanical and Electrical Systems for new or modified production equipment.
C. Direct maintenance and outside contract personnel in the construction, testing, installation, and debugging of this equipment.
D. Create and modify existing documentation to complete drawing packages, installation checklists, machine part lists, illustrations, and machine specs of production equipment.
E. Provide electrical equipment designs and schematics which meet Corning Machine Drafting Standards on CAD based formats. (AutoCAD® 2010, AutoCAD® Electrical )

Required Skills/Experience: Ongoing Tasks
A. Assist in the development mechanical and electrical installation checklists and schedules. Oversee, as appropriate, the usage of these systems.
B. Procure and expedite materials for new or modified equipment.
C. Specify or recommend vendors, and maintain close liaison between vendor and plant.
D. Re-design electrical systems to reduce installation cost, solve equipment interferences, and correct inadequate designs.
E. Prepare work orders and direct maintenance personnel and outside contract trades in the fabrication, assembly, testing, and installation of equipment.
F. Interface with all departments, as necessary, to ensure efficient use and operation of equipment. Provide training as required on new equipment installation procedures.
G. Review and update installation documentation and drawings as required.
H. Direct initial equipment set-up in support of process or development engineers.
I. Interface with all departments, as necessary, to ensure efficient use and operation of equipment.
J. Provide training as required on new equipment installation procedures.
K. Redline existing drawings and follow-up with drafting services or oversee draftsmen as required to resolve design issues.
L. Provide second-level troubleshooting support, directing trades as necessary to replace defective components and execute changes in design solve equipment/process issues.

Project Tasks
A. Provide troubleshooting support in assigned areas.
B. Complete documentation packages to meet customer requirements.
C. Ensure updated documentation exists in assigned areas.
D. Provide training to maintenance and outside contract trades as required for successful execution of installation activities.
E. Provide direction to Electricians and Mechanics during installation activities.
F. Provide sketches or marked-up drawings as dictated by project and evolutionary equipment needs.
G. Assist in the analysis and correction of equipment installation practices to improve efficiencies, specifically directed toward enhancing installation schedules.
H. Provide installation shift supervision as needed.
I. Take personal responsibility for all aspects of supervising equipment installation crews.
J. Develop cost reduction plans for the improvement of installation projects.

Desired Skills/Experience
Travel requirements for this position will vary based on current project locations. International travel will be required to support current and future project needs. Possible Travel to India

Education required
AAS Electrical Engineering Technology or BT / BS Electrical Engineering

Experience required
Minimum 5 to 10 years experience
Equipment or software experience preferred
AutoCAD® 2010, AutoCAD® Electrical, Windows, MS Office suite including Power Point, Excel, and Word
PLC, and PC based systems
Beckhoff PLC / Motion Control experience

Equipment Used:
A. Personal Computers
B. Fluke Meters, Oscilloscopes, and other electronic test equipment.
C. Programmable Controllers
D. Electronic calibration equipment
E. Precision flow calibration
F. Equipment used for machine Installation activities: man lifts, jacks, dollies, trucks, fork lifts, hand tools, etc.

A. Motion control knowledge: servo, stepper, DC, AC drives.
B. Process variable understanding: flow, temperature, rate, pressure, level.
C. Thorough understanding of current loops.
D. Serial communication knowledge: RS232 / 485, Ethernet, IEEE-488
E. Machine control knowledge and understands classical control theory
F. Mechanical aptitude.
G. Electro-mechanical troubleshooting ability and proficient with schematics
