Tech Project Manager / Credit & Rates recruitment

The Credit Rates support teams in New York are part of the PTG Platinum support offering facing off directly to Trading.  The team provide support for Trade capture, Trade processing and Trade Settlement systems. 

We believe that the support role on offer provides the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to experience a Front Office support environment.  The candidate will have visibility of a significant number of trading platforms and will have day to day interaction with the various Trading desks that make up the Rates and Credit group.

Coverage of the trading desks including interactions such as

• Daily interactions with trading.

• On-site system troubleshooting

• Customer communication during incident or outages

• Management of changes and releases to the Production Environment

• Daily support and troubleshooting of the Credit and Rates trading platforms.

• Identify and drive efficiencies in support tasks enabling the support team to be more effective.

• Provide leadership (Player Coach Role) of localized staff.

• Provide effective updates to the Global Manager of the group.

• Oversee development releases to Production, ensuring release quality is #1

QUALIFICATIONS/WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge of operating systems such as Windows and UNIX

• Knowledge of database platforms such as Sybase, Oracle SQL

• Awareness of SDLC+ and change methodologies

• Demonstration of logical thinking

• Ability to troubleshoot whilst under pressure

• Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks and leverage resources within a team

• Understanding of Rates and Credit business

• Ability to challenge the way we do things (in the right way)
