Job Description
This position is located in Fredericksburg, VA
Provides technical writing support for all phases of technical order sustainment/development activities. Processes review comments, QC comments, and change packages. Incorporates approved review comments, and QC comments into existing technical manuals. Develops draft technical orders with assistance of engineers. Incorporates AFTO Form 22/AFMC Form 252 changes into existing legacy technical orders. Works in accordance with Air Force Technical Order mil-standards.
Perform technical writing per AF MIL standards
Research materials and documents needed to complete TO package
Interact with engineers and subcontractors to research, verify, and develop technical content
Support validation/verification activities as required for TO development efforts
Coordinate TO illustration requirements with Illustration department personnel
Perform Data Management efforts
Perform other duties as assigned
Due to the nature of our work this position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense secuirty clearance.
Bachelors degree and 4-5 yrs experience required. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Technical Order development writing, SGML writing, and detailed knowledge of AF MIL-STDs is required
