We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Sales Accounts Manager to provide a vital sales based function for an expanding company situated within Cramlington Northumberland.
The new recruit will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities, working to achieve maximum sales potential, profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establishing and developing existing customer base as well as competing for new project activities and providing customers with detailed costing's and estimates supported by comprehensive technical knowledge and experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and responsibility for company sales.
- Providing high level of service to existing customer base and promoting the global capabilities with new customers.
- Opening new accounts and generating further business from existing relationships.
- Developing sales strategies and setting targets.
- Managing and interpreting customer requirements.
- Calculate and prepare cost estimates.
- Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions.
- Initial contact with customers on new projects.
- Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
- Design advice, suggestions and improvements.
- Coordication of product from initial enquiry to production.
- Compiling and analyzing sales figures and budgets.
- Collecting customer feedback and market research.
- Keeping updated with design, technology and material available to improve sales efficiencies.
- Cost reduction.
- Coordinate and support global activities and initiatives with other corporate sites and operations.
Experience/ Skills Required:
- Educated to HNC level or equivalent and ability to demonstrate relevant experience in an engineering discipline.
- Costing/ Estimating experience.
- A high level of Engineering/ Manufacturing knowledge.
- Proven sales experience.
- Technical/ Product knowledge.
- Competent IT user with knowledge of MRP systems and Microsoft applications.
- Experienced Technical sales professional with a strong commercial background.
- Experience of supplying to global OEMS.
- Ability to deliver sales targets.
- Presentation and project management experience.
- Proven ability to plan, lead and implement projects.
- A solid technical background.
- Organised, sound decision making skills, coordination skills, works well under pressure and strong team player.
