The YouTube and Video team helps budding filmmakers and musicians build careers, creates products like Google TV and YouTube Live and runs collaborative projects like Life in a Day and the YouTube Symphony Orchestra. We are leading a change in how we entertain, inform and share with one another, whether through cat videos or footage of a revolution in progress. The role: Technical Account Manager, YouTube (TV/Film) As a Technical Account Manager, you are the engagement manager taking responsibility for the success of YouTube's largest partnerships. You lead deployments, optimize implementations and integrations to increase revenue, drive new business opportunities, and manage the overall technical aspects to build strong, successful, long- term partnerships. You should be a self-motivated individual looking to solidify YouTube's strategic partnerships with the largest traditional TV/Film partners (e.g. major studios and television networks) and the most successful new media partners which have grown large businesses almost exclusively on YouTube. Responsibilities: * Own the technical relationship with many of our top premium partners and work closely with the Business Development team to make sure these partners are successful on YouTube (thereby helping to unlock the rights to additional highly desired content for the YouTube community to enjoy). * Identify, drive, and optimize the revenue flow from new existing and new business opportunities by leveraging YouTube technologies. * Perform implementation reviews, evangelize new product features and new internal tools, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges. * Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management and Engineering. * Guarantee the technical aspects of a partner's integration (both new and ongoing) by providing necessary documentation and technical guidance. Minimum Qualifications: * BA/BS degree in a technical field (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience). * 4 years proven hands-on experience and debugging in Internet products and technologies in either software engineering, product management, engineering program management, technical account management, sales engineering or related field. Preferred Qualifications: * Advanced Degree such as MS or MBA. * Depth of experience in XML, HTML, JavaScript, SQL, and/or Unix/Linux. Programming/scripting experience in C/C++, Java, JavaScript, PHP, shell, and/or Perl. * Excellent project management skills and attention to detail with the ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment. * Proven ability to work in a customer facing or partner facing role. * Excellent written and oral business communication skills.
