Technical Accountant recruitment
My client is a growing leading name in London reinsurance and insurance, with a number of global offices including Canada, Singapore, Australia, Switzerland, Paris, Cologne and Dublin. They are looking for a technical accountant to manage the regulatory reporting and communications of a number of these international branch's management information, and associated processes for numerous international AIUK branches. The candidate will be expected to innovate, improve and support branch MI and statutory/regulatory reporting.
Reponsible for:
- The review of the UK branch MI packs for multiple international branches, along with the MGA arrangements.
- The review of the MI component of the CFO report for the UK, for the relevant branches.
- Liason with the Financial Reporting Analysis team to ensure that relevant branches ledgers' are to standard, and all deadlines are met.
- Design implementation of new branch MI reporting processes.
- Preparation and lodging of the regulatory returns, on a quarterly basis.
- Liase with regulators, auditors and actuaries, and manage the report progress to the Head of UK Finance Branch Reporting.
- Ensuring all branch costs are paid accurately and promptly.
- Support for the Head of UK Finance Branch Reporting, and deputising for the other Technical Accountant role for other global branches.
Candidates should have/be:
- Qualified accountant with a number of years post qualified experience.
- Previous experience within the insurance industry
- Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
- Good understanding of external and internal regulatory and statutory policies, procedures and regulations.
