Technical Accounting Editor
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Author concise, comprehensive plain language restatements and explanations of the Codification comprising generally accepted accounting principles as the basis of Reporter service, including the pronouncements of FASB, AICPA, SEC, and IASB.
2. Create and integrate special elements including Viewpoints, Cautions, Examples and Illustrations that provide actionable expert insight and opinion for sophisticated users within explanatory material.
3. Research, identify, and integrate select content from the range of U.S. GAAP and IFRS compliance content.
4. Write concise analysis of emerging developments in GAAP standard-setting.
5. Assist in the development of the online version of the product.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 5-7 years experience in the accounting field; technical writing on accounting standards is a big plus
• Expertise regarding the accounting for not-for-profit entities
• Strong accounting standard research abilities
• Bachelor's in accounting with CPA, JD, or MBA (Preference is CPA)
• Knowledge of standard-setting process of FASB, IASB, and SEC
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
