Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Market Access Manager, the Technical Analyst – Members Connectivity is a client facing role and is the main focal point handling all the development issues during the on-boarding process of all participants of the Exchange including our Members and their DMA clients, ISVs and Market Data Vendors.
Key Accountabilities
- Work closely with Members and participants, ISVs, Market Data Vendors (Customers)while they are developing their connectivity to the Exchange. Assist customers with technical issues during the development process.
- Determine requirements and develop test cases for conformance testing.
- Perform conformance testing with Customers and document and review the conformance testing process, provide feedback to Customers and assistance with issues found during conformance process.
- Communicate with Clearing and Trading members to follow up business issues and change requirements.
- Responsible for the change management activities including communicating with third-party vendors, creating the Request for Changes and following its implementation.
- Manage and maintain the systems environment used for Customer development.
- Work with test and new product introduction teams during new member on-boarding and new product introduction.
- Maintain documentation on the data workflow between all systems (pre-trade and post-trade): order management systems, Application Program Interfaces (API) and the relationship with the Clearing House.
- Create and maintain customers’ presentations, project timelines, status reports, completed project planning documents/forms (in Chinese and English).
- Analyze business process, requirement, challenges and opportunities by conducting market research and project assessments.
- Recommend suggestions, alternatives and potential solutions after having made the impact analysis.
- Responsible for the global overview and documentation of the systems’ interactions with customers, the Exchange and the Clearing House.
Job Requirements
- Degree in IT, accounting, finance or a business related discipline with a 5-7 years experience preferably in exchange/financial institutions or consultancy, including minimum of 3 years' relevant experience
- Experience in trading systems (specifically APIs), order management, clearing management systems, conformance testing is a definite advantage
- Good technical knowledge of trading systems and the operational flow from front to back office
- Good knowledge of FIX 4.4 Protocol and environments
- Strong analytical, organizational and presentation skills, and business acumen
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic, changing environment
- Fluency in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua
- Good communication, reporting and documentation skills
