Job Description
We are currently looking for a Senior Technical Analyst - Tradin Room to provide technical support to all Financial Markets users
Key Roles Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to provide desktop support, vendor service management and Infrastructure Capacity Management;
Desktop Support
* To provide technical support to all Financial Markets users for the following Applications and Services:
* All Reuters/ Bloomberg/ICAP-EBS and other Market Data applications, including e-business applications
* All Front Office voice technologies, including BT Dealerboards, Voice Recorders SpeakerBus intercoms
* Microsoft Office Automation Application such as Email (Exchange) and Instant Messaging (MindAlign/Reuters Messaging)
* Accountable for the implementation and ongoing verification of Microsoft Security Patch Management (inclusive of Anti-virus Management) within SCB locations
* Problem and Change Requests Management
* Call logging and trend analysis
* Call reporting including high severity incident control
* All problem and change related initiatives and updates.
* Ensuring standards are adhered to, and dispensations raised if required.
Vendor and Service Management
* To manage vendors including on site out-sourced support engineers who are responsible for the ongoing support of the Financial Markets businesses to ensure a secure, stable and highly resilient environment
* Schedule, conduct and attend all vendor meetings such as projects, high severity incidents, service improvement and service review
Infrastructure and Capacity Management
* To plan, implement and subsequently maintain an efficient, cost effective and highly resilient front office production systems (Infrastructure and Applications) and environment
* To apply knowledge of IT, Financial Products and Best Market Practice to ensure that SCB achieve the best possible return for any investment made within the following arenas; networks, market information systems, services and communications
* To assist in the provision of business recovery sites to give the ability to conduct business transactions and monitor exposure in the event of a disaster
Qualifications Skills
* Relevant working experience in IT Industry providing Dealing Room support
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suits of products such as windows XP, 2000/2003 Server, Exchange, Active Directory and/or SQL
* Working knowledge of CISCO networking and Firewall technology
* Strong knowledge of Markets Information Systems and Services such as Reuters, Bloomberg, ICAP-EBS and other Market Data products
* Good knowledge in BT Dealer Voice Systems, Voice Recorders and related Technologies.
* Strong interpersonal and communication (spoken and written) skill
* Project and IT Service Management skill.
* Willing to travel at short notice, although it will be minimal.
