Technical Architect Citrix South Dublin
My client is a global company based in South Dublin and is seeking an experienced technical architect to join their expanding IT team.

The Technical Architect will be responsible for providing innovative technical solutions to business issues and assist in enhancing the stability, efficiency and integrity of the technology utilized within the company.

The role will involve:
Working with technical teams, senior technicians and management to plan and design new and improved technology solutions for the business, in line with stated company strategic goals
Provide technical guidance and expertise to all technical teams as required.
Design and develop technical solutions for business projects as well as operational infrastructure.
In addition, the role involves compliance with all support processes within the company.
Manage the ticket queue for any escalated customer incidents
Working with Intel/Citrix and Network/Telephone Teams on all operational and technical improvements

Experience required:
Minimum 5 years relevant experience, ideally in a similar architect role
Proven experience with build, design and implementation of shared desktop solutions using Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop solutions.
Ability to write and use Powershell scripting to automate tasks.
Experience and use of Server Provisioning technologies
Experience and use of Microsoft App-V
Windows 2003/2008 server including Active Directory
Ability to use MSProject, MSOffice suite and MSVisio products to prepare, plan and present work packages and solutions
Experience in vendor discussions and leading RFI, RFP process
ITIL, MCSA, MCSE, Citrix Citrix Certifications

Nice to have but not essential:
IBM and HP server hardware
Server virtualization technologies
Linux Redhat operating system
Knowledge and use Storage Area Networks
Cisco switches and PIX firewalls (CCNA level)
Experience of using firewalls, implementing rules troubleshooting networking issues.
IBM Tivoli Storage Manager
