The Office of Information Technologies/Enterprise Services plans to fill one Technical Assistant III position to configure, maintain, and support the computer systems operated by Enterprise Services clients. These computer systems, and the services they deliver, provide mission critical services to the campus enterprise. These services include file and print sharing, group collaboration, messaging and calendaring, and managed server and workstation security.   Additionally, the Technical Assistant recommends new technologies and participates in implementation and special projects as required.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

- 1 year of experience, which must include the following:

 

- Experience in meeting the demands of a complex production oriented environment where timeliness and the availability of information is considered critical. This includes effectively resolving problems under stressful conditions to normal operation.

- Excellent communications skills, both written and oral, is needed as personal communications with non-technical individuals on technical matters is required in person and by telephone.

- Ability to follow detailed instructions, make independent judgments, and possess strong technical analytic abilities.

- Knowledge of enterprise class server operating systems, maintenance, data security, and software applications

- Some off-hour/weekend work will be required to respond to critical Enterprise Services problems and modifications.

- Ability to pass Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) background check.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Microsoft Windows, MAC OS, MAC Server OS, Linux, DameWare Utilities, Symantec Ghost Enterprise, and data communications is desirable.

Appropriate technical certification (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCSA or MCTP) preferred.

 

Hiring Salary: $1,371.75 bi-weekly
For candidates with exceptional qualifications, a salary offer up to $1,632.52 may be considered.
