Certificate IV in Technical Assistant (Construction Material Testing)
Gforce and Deakin University (School of Engineering) currently have a fulltime vacancy for a self motivated individual to undertake a 3 year traineeship, Certificate IV in Laboratory
Techniques (Construction Material Testing). This position will involve assisting other personnel to solve technical problems and to interpret and evaluate experimental information.
The candidate will also be trained to collect samples and conduct laboratory and field tests reliably.
You will be trained in all aspects of the trade including: perform tests to determine the properties of construction materials, participate in environmentally sustainable work
practices, process and interpret data, participate in laboratory/field work safety, apply quality system and continuous improvement processes and communicate with other people
Application requirements: Information Technology skills, a willingness to learn and be an active team member, a ‘can do attitude’ and the ability to think outside the square, reliable, punctual and to comprise an excellent work ethic.
