An exciting opportunity has opened up within a Large Financial Services Institution in the heart of the Sydney CBD. This is one of the largest programme’s of work within the organisation which will yield terrific experience among some of the industry’s elite. Working with a highly collaborative and capable team in a highly dynamic project.

Role fundamentals:

The Business Analyst will be expected to cover aspects of the full SDLC - including documenting business requirements, analysing system data, writing functional specifications and test scenarios, providing guidance to test analysts, developers and business users, and writing documentation for user training and production handover.

This role is predominantly a systems integration and thus the successful candidate will come from a technical IT background as well as thorough knowledge of the financial markets business domain; with a focus on FX and Money Markets.

Skills required for the position include:

• Quality business writing and documentation capability

• Proven skills in requirements gathering and process analysis including workshops/ user meetings one-on-one and in a group

• Excellent core BA skills with a structured approach and adherence to processes and templates

• Expertise in financial services projects related to Money Market and FX products, including front office processes

• Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and standard artefacts, and documentation tools such as Visio

• Previous experience on large financial markets - projects - in particular the integration of Front Office systems

• BA Experience in operations or technology with exposure to Front  Office platforms

Technical Experience for the position includes:

• Familiarity with SQL and databases

• Experience with Integration projects ideally within Global Markets

• Understand mapping between APIs

• Mapping system needs

• Can read XML

• Write functional specifications

• Translate business requirements
