Market Operations and Technology (MOT) provides technology and market operations to Macquarie's businesses.

The Technology Division is responsible for the management of Macquarie's technology infrastructure, the support and development of existing business systems and the delivery and deployment of new systems, technologies and services. It comprises business aligned teams which provide dedicated and specialist services to businesses as well as central teams which provide shared services, such as infrastructure, to multiple businesses.

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst who is excited by the challenge of delivering excellent IT service in environment and application support.

Your responsibilities will include:

Working closely with the business and technology project teams to determine requirements for a reporting initiative and enhancements work

  • Determining the best solution that satisfies both business and ITG requirements
  • Working with the business and technology project teams through the full project life cycle to ensure that agreed requirements are delivered
  • Assessing impacts of proposed changes to the systems and processes
  • Assessing and managing data requirements, data sources and data strategy
  • Analysing different source systems for data required to deliver solutions
  • Data mapping of source data to required destination systems
  • Documenting functional and non-functional requirements
  • Gaining a detailed understanding of the existing production processes and systems
  • Working with project team members to ensure the smooth implementation of project work and enhancements
  • Ensuring effective communication and cooperation with all stakeholders including business users and other IT teams across the bank
  • Following formal and auditable work processes and practices
