Technical Business Analyst (Risk – Market Risk) recruitment
Position Description:
AGS on behalf of RBS represents contract and temporary opportunities for RBS MIB (Markets and International Banking). We have an outstanding contract opportunity for a Risk Business Analyst to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of a Risk Business Analyst, you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.
Additional Position Details:
The Market Risk Business Analyst will function as part of Market Risk Change team, the successful individual sought for the position will have extensive experience working in a change environment, with a bias towards Market Risk. A demonstrable track record of successful project delivery is essential as is the ability to hit the ground running and show early delivery in this critical area of development.
MIB Risk Business Change provides:
* Partnership with the Risk Functions to deliver process change
* Partnership with IT to deliver Systems Solutions
* The necessary Project Management and Business Analysis skills to support the above from a Business perspective.
* Sign off for all system releases including upstream changes.
The main requirements for the role are as follows:
Required Skills
- Highly motivated individual with a proven background in Business Analysis and system design
- Thorough understanding of the Project life-cycle and tools /techniques/standards within each phase
- Ability to chair meetings and prepare documentation
- Building teams (including virtual teams)
- Demonstrable experience managing requirements for IT systems
Job responsibilities
- Build a strong working relationship with business partners
- Daily interaction with Market Risk Managers who are a demanding user base
- Capture and document business requirements to satisfy both the business users and the technical users ensuring that sufficient detail, diagrams, worked examples and, where practical, prototypes are provided
- Demonstrate the drive to ensure the business requirements are met
- Handle multiple concurrent activities in parallel and prioritise responsibilities making quick decisions and delivering quick wins where possible
- Participate in the planning, execution and validation of system, regression, and user acceptance testing
- Manage user acceptance testing and training
- Display a high level of commitment and tenacity
- Ensure quality throughout the lifecycle of the deliverables
Competencies:
Business experience
- In depth experience of Market Risk within Investment Banking or Asset Management
- In depth understanding of at least 1 asset class with broad knowledge of multiple asset classes
Technical Skills
- Excel, Access, strong SQL skills
- Ability to read perl
- Ability to write VBA
